Seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Youth Fitness Instructor to lead fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate fitness classes for children and teens. The ideal candidate will have experience in body composition, general fitness principles, and movement mechanics, with a background in or current study of exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field. This role focuses on creating a supportive and motivating environment where youth can develop strength, coordination, and confidence while fostering a lifelong love for fitness. 

Instructor job description: 

•Assess each child's fitness level. 

•Create age-appropriate personalized workout programs. 

•Incorporate games, circuits, functional training, and bodyweight exercises to keep sessions engaging and effective. 

•Ensure children safety while motivating them to achieve their fitness goals. •Maintain equipment, ensure proper class setup/cleanup, and uphold cleanliness standards. •Educate youth on proper movement techniques, injury prevention, and the benefits of physical activity. 

•Modify workouts to accommodate different skill levels, abilities, and fitness goals. •Monitor and assess participants' progress while providing encouragement and constructive feedback. 

•Ensure a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols. 

Qualifications/Certifications

•Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or equivalent certification from a recognized organization. Knowledge: 

•First Aid and CPR Certification 

•Group Fitness Certification 

Skills: 

•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills are essential for motivating and instructing clients. 

•Strong understanding of fitness principles, anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. •Some experience working with Children ages 3-18 years old.

•Experience in leading various fitness classes, and a passion for fitness and helping others achieve their goals. 

•Must have a high degree of energy. 

Job Type: Part-time, Contract (1099) 

Pay: $65.00-$70.00 per hour
